Rib is the product, not the trim

A rib knit has more stretch than the equivalent plain knit and, more usefully, it recovers — it comes back to its original shape after a wash, where a jersey romper sags first at the cuff and the knee. On a garment a baby wears for ten hours and then gets changed out of, that difference shows up in three places:

• The cuffs. Ribbed wrists and ankles stay where you put them instead of sliding down a small arm.

Bamboo fabric — Tanboocel® bamboo viscose — is smooth at the fibre, breathable and moisture-wicking. It moves moisture away from the skin rather than holding it, which is the whole reason the category suits sensitive baby skin and long overnight wear.
